As head of quality control on this ViewDo I can promise you all that they were not burnt and were indeed quite tasty. We didn't boil the ribs and I didn't die when I ate them, in fact I think they made me stronger than I was before.

I've done steaming and boiling, have even ordered special rubs and sauces online. But this looks like a promising way to make some quick, easy, simple yummy ribs. No mess, no fuss. I don't think they looked burnt..it looked more like the Rub sauce was dark in color.

very burnt looking. You do not need to pre boil or bake ribs before you grill them. A good cook that knows how to barbecue will cook them entirely on a charcoal grill low and slow for the most tender ribs. You also only apply the barbecue sauce at the last 5 min of cooking, so they dont burn from the high sugar content in the sauce.

I've seen recipes that call for boiling and others that don't. If boiling is done to avoid a food "safety" issue then it wouldn't hurt to be safe. Does anyone know for sure about this? Might it have to do with pork ribs rather than beef ribs?

Just my opinion, but if someone has never made ribs before, it's probably important to include at the beginning of the video that the[b:520ab913a0] ribs come raw and need to be boiled for 30 minutes to an hour BEFORE grilling! [/b:520ab913a0]

You 2 are right. it does make you hungry in the end AND if we could taste it. I'm sure it would get a much better rating.

You're right, they did look burnt a little. But since I was on quality control for this one I can say that they most certainly were not. They were really tasty. We'll have to figure out how to make TasteDos now... cuz let me tell you, you wouldve rated it a 7 if you could've tasted them. :)
