Yeah, cilantro could be an optional ingredient. All ingredients can be more or less to taste. I personally like lots of 'maters and the guac more chunky than smooth.

no cilantro? great recipe, exactly the way I make mine but I add a bit of chopped cilantro, very important ingriedient in authenitic guacamole.

OH my Gosh... you guys havent had Guac? The whole thing hinges on having good Avacados. I highly reccomend trying it again Xylem. If the Guac you had is storebought mush it's not the same. I used to be in the same boat, thought I hated guac, but it's definately grown on me since I've been exposed to some tasty recipes.

Yum! Wow, I've never been dubbed before, especially not for chewing noises... Another tasty addition to this guac is celery salt to taste--adds a bit more depth to the flavor, especially if the avocados aren't as flavorful as you hoped.

I tried it and that's pretty good, I could never make good guacamole. Thanks for showing us.
