I saw in slow motion that it had no spin on it

That one was definitely spinning! If anything our camera wasn't capturing enough frames per second to convey the spin. Thanks for looking so closely.

On a side note, did you see the episode of Mythbusters where, with the help of Roger Clemens, they went through the physics of different pitches. I highly recommend checking it out.
